Simply Mia

Hello Beautiful People!

My name is Mia Calderon-Faulkner and I am the creator of Simply Be-You-Tiful. I am currently a senior at Washburn University, studying Communication and Mass Media. I am 21 years old and I was born in Lima, Peru. In my 21 years of life I have learned to appreciate the beauty of life, and enjoy the challenges that come our way. As I am approaching graduation, I am excited to see everything life will throw my way. I am a dedicated individual with a passion to succeed and I can't wait to explore the communications and mass media industries!

This summer I married to my best friend, Alexander. Together we are taking on the world one day at a time, and loving every second of it. The married life is something exciting and new, and I am highly thankful that I have met such a wonderful person to spend this beautiful life with.

In my free time I enjoy beauty and fashion. I have developed a love for make-up and clothing items that allow ourselves to express our personalities however our heart desires. I also enjoy photography and have started a photography page called Faulkner Photography. This is something I am passionate about as well--I love capturing priceless memories through a camera lens. Dancing and eating are some of my favorite things to do, as well as spending time with my favorite fur-buddy Barkley.

Lastly, I believe in positivity! Being positive so that positive opportunities can find you. I believe in loving ourselves, and that is every inch of our body, mind, and soul. We are all beautiful inside and out and we should all help each other find that inner and outer beauty. Sometimes, life can be harsh and we lose ourselves, but that is why we have people in this world that can be the good, and help us find our ways back to love, happiness, and peace. I hope that my blog can help you in times of need, and that you can help someone when they are in need. Remember to love yourself, and smile--because you have no idea how many people wish to see your smile, and the power that your smile may have over someone else's life. Be kind, share the love and laughter--be positive, and ALWAYS love yourself.

Thank you for reading--I appreciate you!

Love,
Mia
