Simply Be-You-tiful is a blog focused on all things beauty and fashion, but most importantly being YOU. I hope you love beauty and fashion just as much as I do, because I am excited to embark on this journey as I will be sharing my thoughts with weekly posts.
Hello Beautiful People! For this post I am going to share with you all my favorite Naked Eyeshadow palette by Urban Decay. I have all of the Naked palettes, but I have always came back to this one when I want to create a look to go out, when I do girl's prom make-up and even wedding make-up. The variety of colors in this palette is amazing, and you are able to create many different looks mixing the colors together. You can find this palette at any Sephora or Ulta, as well as online through their websites and the Urban Decay Website. The price of this Palette is $54 dollars, however the eyeshadows are really pigmented and I have had my palette for over a year and it still has a lot of product and the quality is still as good as ever!
I highly recommend getting this palette, however they do have smaller palettes with more basic colors for a cheaper price, and if you decide to go that route I recommend getting the Naked Basics.
Now I am going to share with you some of my favorite tutorials using this palette. This tutorial is easy to recreate even if you are a beginner! Feel free to take a look at this video, and see what you think about this palette :)
Hello beautiful people! For this blog I will be sharing with you all how I organize my make-up. I just recently moved and I wanted to find a new way to organize my make-up. While I was shopping at Gordmans I found a 5 tier rolling storage cart, which I thought would be perfect for my make-up! There were different colors to choose from, however I just decided on black. The cart has 5 drawers total, 3 plastic drawers and 2 large fabric drawers. It was on sale for $40 dollars but I had a coupon and was able to get it for $33! (I love deals).
On the left you have how it looked in the box, and on the right you have it after I put it all together.
Honestly, it was really easy to assemble, it took me about 30 minutes and it didn't require any tools!
1st Drawer:
First of all, as you can tell I decided to put my make-up brushes on the top, which is really convenient because they are easy to access while I am doing my make up. On the 1st drawer I decided to put;
My essential tools: So my eyelash curler, my tweezers, sharpener and things of that sort.
Face items: My foundations, face powders, bronzers, everything that deals with my face.
Concealers: All of my concealers and anything that I put on within the first steps of my make-up/while I'm doing my foundation is in this drawer.
I really wanted to focus my first drawer on things that go more with my face, and my essential tools.
2nd Drawer:
For the second drawer I decided to put all things, eyes, lips and cheeks.
Cheeks:( On the left) I have my favorite blushes. I tend to switch between blushes so I have put here my favorite ones at the moment.
Lips: (In the middle) All of my favorite lip liners/lip sticks, in this drawer I also have my lip balms which I apply on my lips while doing my make-up before adding anything else just to add some moisture to my lips.
Eyes: All of my "at the moment" favorite eyeshadows are here because I tend to used them on a daily basis. In this drawer towards the front I also have my eyeliners, and mascaras.
I really wanted to focus this drawer on what adds colors to my face, with my cheeks, eyes, or lips.
3rd Drawer:
For the 3rd drawer I decided to leave the back for the extra stuff that I have. This is stuff that I still use but not on an everyday basis. The front of the door I emphasized on all of my face lotions that I do use on an everyday basis.
Extras: lipsticks, eyeshadows, liners.
Face Lotions: These are items that I use every single day, before and after I apply my make-up. So my facial moisturizes, primer, setting spray and things of that sort.
I wanted to leave this drawer for all of my facial lotions and also things that are just "extras" at the moment. Though I do use my facial lotions everyday, I tend to only use them at the beginning and once again at the end of my make-up which is why I decided to put this on the last drawer. Especially since I tend to go back to drawers 1 and 2 more frequently.
Well, I am really glad that I was able to find this new way to organize my make-up. Though I haven't finished organizing my make-up I feel like this will be a good way to keep all of my stuff easy to access and organized.
